Description: ORIGINAL ANTIQUE WATERCOLOR ATTRIBUTED TO THE BRITISH ARTIST MISS GIRDLESTONE This wonderful antique watercolor of a landscape is not signed but was attributed to the British artist Miss Girdlestone by L.S. Lambourne, Assistant keeper of Art, City Museum & Art Gallery, Birmingham, England. The watercolor image size measures 5 1/4 x 7 1/2 inches. The watercolor comes in the original wood frame, double matted under glass. The frame measures 13 1/2 x 15 1/4 inches. Label on the back of the frame: Presumably by Miss Girdlestone – who seems to have worked in the late 18th. century in the manner of Arthur Devis. – L.S. Lambourne, Assistant Keeper of Art, City Museum & Art Gallery, Birmingham. CONDITION: The watercolor appears to be in excellent condition, has not been taken out of the frame.
