Description: Under the 5-6K range (if you have a larger budget, I am the wrong person to ask), this is the perfect buy as a one watch do-it-all. The size is great, the build is great. As a one watch, it has various elements going for it in terms of design, its not too plain nor bland so it will remain interesting. It is neither too small, nor too big; understated yet appealing, both at the same time. Fantastic power-reserve and movement. The interesting thing is, while it will be brand new, it does not have any bling - you and any enthusiast will know what it is, but to any other person it will look like a watch from the old times with a lot of character, after all, it is the exact same design from year 1954, so it is been around, trends will come and go, but this model will always be at the epicenter of any turning point. For comparison, and quality aside, the 36mm Explorer is a great watch, but it is a hint bland as a one watch do it all. Down the line if you want to buy one more watch, you can consider the 36mm Explorer, a base OP White Dial, or a DateJust 36mm White/Silver Dial. You will pretty much be sorted forever if you avoid the Youtube rabbit hole ! I absolutely recommend the BB54 as a 'one and done.
