Description: An original glass plate negative photograph of a Native American mother or grandmother with child. Her eyes are closed, perhaps against the sun, while the the baby is laced into a cradleboard. It came from an Oklahoma estate and dates to around the turn of last century, 1880-1920. At that time, it was Indian Territory rather than Oklahoma. The glass negative has excellent resolution and detail. It is dark glass and measures about 5" x 7". I used free software to transform the negative into the first photo you see but you can do a better job. The glass photo negative is in good shape. There is a tiny chip on the edge of one lower corner outside of the image, but I see no loss of emulsion, scratches or other damage. A significant piece of history and a solid addition to any collection. I ship every day the post office is open with your item safely packed the way it deserves to be. I always combine shipping and will refund back any overage when you buy multiple items. Please see my store for more museum quality artifacts.
