Description: During the long successful history of Moorcroft Pottery, William Moorcroft designed and implemented many different patterns using beautiful glazes and striking colors. One pattern first marketed in the late 1920s becoming extremely popular later in the 20th century became known as leaf and berry. This line can be found in both a matte and glossy finish; the latter with a dark flambé background. The mold is very detailed and decoration exquisite. Based on the markings on the bottom, this vase was produced sometime between 1928 and 1949. Colorful leaves with ripe berries circle the top half of the piece all positioned on a deep cobalt background. The item stands 7 1/4” tall and measures 4” diameter across the broadest region of the body. I have cleaned and inspected this face and can find no chips, cracks, damage or repairs. The inside is clean showing no residue from use. A great chance to grab a somewhat tough pattern to find in the marketplace today. Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description. Please check back to my listings often as I will be posting numerous fine examples of glass, pottery and porcelain in the near future. Thank you.
