Description: This large horse figurine, hand carved in Barbados from locally sourced mahogany, is signed RM 13, which I believe is Reggie Medford, made in 2013. Reggie Medford is an award-winning Caribbean artist with decades of carving experience - very collectible. This horse is larger than most, but is still probably considered to be medium in size. It has a warm satin finish (NOT varnished). (Measurements are approximate. ) 12" long. Muzzle underside 7 3/8" high. Tip of ear 10 1/8" high. Bottom tip of tail 2 1/2" high. It came with a round foil label (see last photo) that does not want to stay on -- so I will put it in plastic, for you to reaffix, if you so choose. I treated the wood lightly with wood oil. No damage found. This is a unique, one-of-a-kind creation -- it would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
