The Opening Port - open/close motor, housing structure and Opening Port are brand new. The protective shipping plastic on the Smoke Opening Port is still in place. When the exhaust fan, opening port motor in my Renegade Villagio started making a terrible noise due to grinding gears, I took it to my RV repair center for repairs. Their remedy was to buy an all new MaxxFan 4500K unit, but rather than install the complete new unit, they just replaced the internal components (fan, control panel & opening port - open/close motor) and left the mounting structure & opening port in place. Thankfully I thought to ask the RV center for the old parts and with the help of the MaxxFan Customer Service Department, I was able to fix the noise problem by replacing the Opening Port - Open/Close Motor. It works like NEW !!! Lesson Learned: Opening Port - open/close motor cost - $55.79; RV Center repair bill - $480
