Description: This is a first-generation COPY of a signed script from the MASH TV series (not a transcript or Photoshop recreation). The original 1982 script was owned by Jeff Maxwell aka Private Igor. A copy is being offered here. The script is from the show’s final half-hour episode, “As Time Goes By,” and was the last one to be filmed. In the episode, Margaret (Loretta Swit) collects significant items for a time capsule, B.J. (Mike Farrell) and Rizzo (GW Bailey) play practical jokes on each other, and Klinger (Jamie Farr) finds himself falling in love with a young South Korean woman (Rosalind Chao). There were a lot of reporters present to capture the final moments and this footage flooded the news programs of the day. This episode includes homages to departed characters Radar, Henry Blake, and Frank Burns. The cast buried their own time capsule on the Fox lot but it was uncovered not long after due to construction. The rest of the classic sitcom cast includes Alan Alda (the only actor to appear in every episode), Harry Morgan, David Ogden Stiers, and William Christopher. The script's cover has been reproduced in color and an acetate sheet has been added to keep it looking pristine (to be honest, it looks better than the original).
