Description: -- This listing is for one (1) "Mark Twain's Speeches" Mark Twain, Hardcover, American Artists Edition Volume 24, 1923. Book is a hundred years old -- I've tried to show and describe the book as best I can, please be sure to review all pictures so that you can best judge its condition. -- Biggest issue with this book is obviously that the front cover is slightly burned -- as the last book in the series, this was the book closes to my grandparents' open fireplace, and well... yeah. The first few interior pages have some discoloration, but the actual burning is confined to the cover. Book significantly discounted in price due to the damage to the cover, but the rest of the book is clearly readable, etc. -- Outside of the burned area -- covers have general yellowing/darkening due to age, plus some spots/blemishes. Cover edges have some general wear. Cover image of Twain, the laurel around him, and the circle of stars are all clearly visible. Title, author, volume on the spine all readable -- note that the spine has darkened a bit more than the front/back cover (plus the bit of burned area). The color title pages are still pretty vibrant (not faded), no bent/torn/missing pages, no inscriptions or writing that I found.
