Description: Here is an unusual and rare pair of Marblehead Pottery owl form bookends in their iconic dark matte blue glaze. They measures 6 inches tall, 5 3/8 inches wide and 3 inches deep. They are in great condition with only the tiniest bruise to one cheek and no chips, cracks, or repairs, or firing flaws. Marked on the backs with the firms oval paper labels and retain the original felt covering the bottoms. The pottery was founded in Massachusetts by Dr Herbert Hall, run by Arthur Baggs, and dates to about 1915. A beautiful set by a great New England Arts & Crafts art pottery.
