Description: Here is a very nice Marblehead Pottery large vase in one of their classic hand thrown shapes. It is covered in an even speckled matte gray glaze with a light blue glaze on the interior. This piece measures 6 1/8 inches tall and 7 inches in diameter at the widest, large for Marblehead. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Marked on the bottom with the firms die-stamped MP with ship and waves mark. The pottery was founded in Massachusetts by Dr Herbert Hall, run by Arthur Baggs, and dates to about 1915. A beautiful piece by a great New England Arts & Crafts art pottery.
