Description: Lot of 4 James Valentine Albumen Prints These four prints show city scenes and architecture in Glasgow, Scotland. Estimated to be circa 1880's. Includes the following images0: "Trongate, Glasgow. 1027. J. V." "Royal Exchange, Glasgow. 1600. J. V." "Charing Cross, Glasgow. 22430. J. V." "Glasgow Cathedral and Nicropolis. 18131. J. V." Each print measures approximately 6" x 8". Very good condition. Light rubbing around the edges and corners with some occasional, light creasing. A few faint stains on the fronts of the prints, but nothing that seriously hinders their quality. Some light stains on the backs of the prints as well. The back of the print showing the Royal Exchange has some ink that bled through from the front side. The print showing Trongate has a small scuff mark at the bottom right corner on the front, along with some light peeling. All prints are crisp, with vivid details. HB963
