Description: Selling this early screw-case Longines in exceptional condition. The double-signed enamel dial is in great shape without any cracks or hairlines and has a nice double signature, consistent with Baume stamps on the caseback and movement (Baume was distributor to J.W. Benson at the time this watch was made). You can't see the movement serial, which is on the dial side of the movement, but I've previously had the dial off and can confirm it matches the case. The 3-piece screw case is in similarly exceptional shape, has no major dings or gouges, and still threads tightly. The hinges are secure, and the watch is sewn to a home-made strap of veg-tanned leather. The watch retains its original handset, which is a rarity. Note that the luminous compound is not radium, but an inert compound in the same tone as aged radium. So no glow, no cancer (or fear thereof!), but a nice original look. The service history of the beautiful Cal. 13.33 is unknown, but the watch keeps good time. At 35mm, it has great wrist presence, and is surprisingly versatile as a regular wearer in my collection. Thanks for looking, and happy to answer any questions you may have!
