Description: Fresh A. polyphemus cocoons which will hatch in 2025. They are from pairings of wild (northern Indiana) polyphemus moths and female polyphemus moths which I raised from eggs this summer. They were raised on silver maple (Acer saccharinum). Life cycle: These are from the second brood of 2024 and these cocoons will overwinter until spring/summer 2025. For best result keep close to the natural temperature of the Midwest USA. Cocoons may dry out if kept indoors. Disclaimer: Once the cocoons are in your possession, I am no longer responsible for their wellbeing.
