Liberty Postcard. USA Postal Stationery c1870s. From Colgate & Co. New York.

Description: This is an excellent original early USA postal stationery 'Liberty' postcard sent from Messrs Colgate & Co of 53 & 55 John Street New York to an address in Cleveland, Ohio c1870. Good fancy cross and Pittsburgh postmarks, scarce card in very fine condition, see scans. Buyers please note: I usually try to do my posting as soon as eBay pay me, however, as our village Post Office has been closed I now have to drive a 12 mile round trip to get to another one. Therefore I now try to do my post once a week, so please bear with me! For all items where the sale price is £20.00 or under, and the destination is to a UK address the postage cost will be a flat £1.40p. If the final sale price is over £20.00 then I will send it via Royal Mail Signed For at a cost of £3.05p which is cost price to me. For overseas items the shipping cost will be £2.75p for postcards, and as stated in my invoice for heavier items. Where the sale price is over £20.00, OR WHERE THE DESTINATION IS NOT to the UK, EUROPE OR THE USA I must now charge for International Tracked & Signed at a flat cost of £8.25p. This will be quoted for in my invoice when payment is requested. I do regret the need for this, but I am not prepared to lose any more money through Paypal reclaims due to items going missing in the post. I am sure you will appreciate my problem, plus this will safeguard these top-quality cards and items in transit. Customers may pay by personal cheque, postal order or Paypal as well as via eBay.
