Denim jeans are the oldest form of clothing still worn in their original form; these jeans feature: *A Shrink-to-fit design- these unwashed classic jeans shrink due to the nature of the fabric Levis recommends to increase waist sizes by the following: Wasit: 27''- 36'' ................ 2''Waist: 38'' - 48'' ............... 3'' Levis recommends to increase inseam by the following: Inseam: 27'' - 34'' ........... 3''Inseam: 36'' - Up ............ 3'' ***DO NOT ALTER LEG LENGTH UNTIL AFTER SHRINKAGE IS COMPLETE*** *The Selvage: a denim stitching running through the interior of the jean, giving the jeans a super strong fabric, and marked with an XX on the leather patch for easy identification. *The Capital E: On the Red Tab of an authentic Levis that are over 30 years old, the "E" on the back was capital, being changed to a lowercase "e" in 1971. *The Arcuate: Stitching designed to be "double arcs" irregular and uneven sometimes, it was done by hand with the a single needle. It was done this way until the end of WWII when a double stitch was implemented. *The Leather Patch: The signature leather patch with a famous two horse logo marking jeans as the genuine article. *Through the years Levis has offered either a well known button fly with their 501s, but some variations are the same 501 fit with a zip fly, please see photos for clarification.
