LeCoultre Memovox Travel Pocket Watch

Description: LeCoultre Vintage 1960s Travel Pocket Watch with original leather case. The watch comes with a manual wind Memovox K814 Swiss movement (17 Jewels) with KIF shock protection. The K814 was produced from 1953 to 1964. The serial number on this watch (1664941) indicates that it was likely produced between 1963 and 1964. The movement is in excellent condition and was recently serviced (March 2, 2023) (see photo of movement). The watchmaker that serviced the watch said the movement was in "spectacular" condition and it appeared to not have been used very much. The watch runs and alarms as it should. The watch comes with two crowns (both signed with the Memovox logo), one that sets and winds the watch, and the other that sets and winds the alarm (see photos). It also comes with a fold out stand so you can place it on your bedside nightstand, home office desk, or on a small table. To set the alarm, pull out the crown for the alarm and turn it counterclockwise to the desired time. Then push the crown back in. To wind the alarm, make sure the crown for the alarm is pushed in and then wind clockwise. The second photo shows the alarm set at 12:00. It has a beautiful gold square gilt metal-turned case, and the ivory-colored dial is in great shape. The square case measures approximately 1 3/4 inches (44.5 mm) on each side. Note: The LeCoultre signature refers to the market that it was produced for (i.e., the U.S. market). Due to custom regulations, Jaeger-LeCoultre exported their Swiss made movements to the U.S., and the watches were assembled and sold afterwards.
