Description: A superb large antique copper hanging gypsy kettle / tea urn, dating from the 19th century. The kettle has an iron swing handle so it can be hung above a camp fire with a long spout / tap or it could have been used in a Victorian kitchen. Traditionally made with dovetailed seams to the heavy duty copper and measures 33cm high with a 25cm diameter and the spout / tap is 26cm long. There are surface marks and dinks with a fantastic aged patina to the copper, inside it has a layer of limescale from age and use and there is solder around the tap join, otherwise it’s all in genuine antique condition.
