Description: This is an antique ATLAS map of the mainline section of Pennsylvania from Overbrook to Paoli. It is in a burl wood frame, but I don’t know if the map and frame are the same age. I think this is all original, but I’m not totally sure. I am uncertain as to exactly how old it is, but it definitely has very good age. I’m sensing it’s from the early 20th century, circa 1910s or 1920s. Please use your judgment. The overall frame measures 28 1/2 inches tall x 35 inches wide (72.4 cm x 88.9 cm). The back opening size/mat measures 25 1/4 inches tall x 31 3/4 inches wide (64.1 cm x 80.6 cm). The viewable part of the map measures 19 3/4 inches tall x 26 1/2 inches wide (50.1 cm x 67.3 cm). The frame molding width measures 2 inches (5.1 cm). You can clearly read most of the map, though there is a small hole with a little missing piece in the top center. Most of the map though has scattered tears, bent lines in the paper and dark staining around the center of it and even some more around the exterior. The frame has scattered nicks, dings, scratches and scuff marks. Still, it has a great look about it. The mat has water stains going along the bottom. It weighs just over 11 pounds (just over 5 kg).
