JAEGER-LECOULTRE JLC Master control 176.8.40.S/Q1548120 Date Automatic

Description: Up for sale is a Jaeger LeCoultre Master Control 39mm dress watch. They call this “the watchmakers watch brand” and that’s because this brand has the reputation and history that is appreciated by watch enthusiasts and purists for 2 centuries (1833!). This example comes as Watch only, no box and papers. The strap is genuine JLC but the buckle is an aftermarket deployant. It’s 39mm with a 20mm lug width. Perfect for daily use and sized to be practical, dressy, and casual use. It gives off a high end Patek/AP/VC vibe but with a better price point. You can get a 70s high end brand dress watch or get this from the 2000s with all the modern tech such as the 1000 hours testing. Condition-wise, this watch is in good pre-owned condition. It does have some hairline scratches but no major gashes or dings. Please refer to pictures. There’s nothing notable or major other than what you can see. The dial is clean, and the crystal is also scratch, ding, or gash free. I’ve looked this watch up what’s interesting is that most examples have the older steel/gold rotor. This one is the solid gold rotor from the newer/modern iterations. That means it’s probably a newer version but unfortunately, I don’t know how to determine the exact date. The time keeping and setting of this watch is good. It’s not chronometer specs but it’s acceptable. The winding, setting, and date change works as it should. I don’t know the service history and I’ve owned it for a year and never opened this watch up. Probably wore this watch for less than 10 times.
