NM covers are free of creases, ring wear and seam splits of any kind.EXCELLENT (EX)EX records may have one or two minor superficial marks or scuffs on the playing surface, likely inaudible. EX covers will have only the slightest signs of use.VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) VG+ records may show some visible signs of wear, including light scuffs or light scratches. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are possible. VG+ covers have minor wear, including seam wear, a split (less than one inch long) on the seam, or some defacing such as a cut-out marking.VERY GOOD (VG)VG records have more obvious flaws. They lack most of the original gloss found on NM records. Groove wear is evident on sight, as are light scratches deep enough to feel with a fingernail. When played, a VG record has surface noise, and some scratches may be audible. VG covers will have signs of handling. Ring wear is usually obvious, though not overwhelming.
