A saw cut ring is made by an industrial machine that cuts a coil with a rotary saw blade. Every saw cut ring I use is deburred, polished and cleaned. Stainless steel doesn't rust and is strong and clean. The shine level of the rings can vary; it's lustre can be compared to that of a stainless steel kitchen sink.
