Description: From our personal collection we are pleased to be able to offer this wonderful huge vase which we believed to have been produced by Josef Rindkopf. Rindskopf glass was produced by a compay called Josef Rindskopf's Sohne AG, which translates from German to English as Josef Rindskopf's Sons. This glass manufacturer was set up by the sons of Josef Rindskopf after his death in 1890, and was located near the sap town of Teplice in what is now the Czech Republic. There were two factories, one at Dux and the second at Tischau, the latter (Barbarahute) produced the popular Art Nouveau iridescent glass, such as this pice, that were mainly for export. Most Rindskopf vases that can be found today were produced between 1900 and 1905. What we have is an unusually large Josef Rindskopf vase of "twisted" form in green, marbled decor. It has a light purple iridescent and the green and white marbling is broken up by dashes of rust red throughout the vase. The vase stands 12" tall and is 8" wide across the base. We believe we have the pieces in our collection fairly priced for collectors given the rarity and condition of most of them We tend not to make offers to watchers but almost all of our pieces have a best offer option.
