Description: We have had this lamp now for a few years. We are moving so it needs to sail down the road and find a new more knowledgeable owner. When we purchased this lamp we paid a fortune… Here’s what we know: Lamp is bronze. There are two dragons, one on body and one on base. The one on the body is almost 3D the one on the base has the head lifting off the surface as well. If anything is broken off them I don’t see it. They have 3 claws Please see pics It lights up. The top part looks upside down to us both. We were afraid to switch it right side up. Please see pics. Please note this. Inside the top part looks like waxed ? Rice paper. If you have questions please ask prior to purchase. I can send more pictures as needed. Very very rare piece. It looks like it could have originally been gas and unsure of time period as this lamp has been converted to a modern electric Lamp? The top piece is lightly bent- please see pics. I took close ups. We have been looking for this online for 3 years, have asked a few people … some on here (and a couple people were actually rude)… to no avail. If you do know anything about this type of lamp please feel free to school us. But please be kind. We are very very happpy to take more pictures if you are considering this lamp. It is older not perfect … please see all pics. if it was not an oil it definitely is an older electric piece. I was told this was probably gas and converted?? No idea, it’s old and unusual..
