These cards have a reputation of being incredibly efficient, with a maximum power usage of 70W supplied entirely from the PCI Express slot; this means no additional power cable needs to be plugged in. Since initial purchase, the stock thermal pads have been upgraded to Kritical Thermal Black Pads, rated for extreme conductivity (20 W/mK), and the stock thermal paste has been replaced with Thermalright TF8 High Performance High Durability Thermal Compound, rated for 13.8W/mK.
