Description: Croix/Graco complete CX-5 HVLP Turbine Paint Spray System. Graco bought out Croix many years ago. The CX-5 was Croix's smallest and most compact turbine. Believe it or not, in the early days all of Croix's turbines were only 2 stage. What Croix did to ncrease CFM/PSI in their more powerful and larger turbines was to increase the diameter sizing of the turbine to make more output of air and psi at the air cap. This unit was made with a 5.7 inch diameter turbine and makes about 60 CFM or about 5 psi at the air cap. It's plenty of power for most coatings you would spray with it in a very compact cabinet. Great for small jobs and touch ups where quick setup and break down is a plus. This CX-5 Turbine is complete with 20 feet of high quality Croix turbine hose. The hose has all the connection fittings as well as an air control/shutoff valve. There is a bit of overspray on the hose but please just look at the pics. Its in very good condition. The HVLP turbine gun with this unit is the Croix 757. Its a bleeder type gun so there will be constant air flow through the nozzle even when the trigger is released but it will only discharge material when the trigger is engaged. This is a great feature in older turbines as it releases heat and pressure from the turbine thus extending the life of the turbine motor. The gun is black metal and is set up for pressure assist siphon spray with a Croix 1 quart cup. It sprays well as I tested it spraying odorless paint thinner. The gun has the fluid nozzle wrench, the packing adjusting tool, 2 paint filters and the cleaning brush. Currently the gun has the 1.4mm nozzle set in it but you also get a complete .7mm nozzle set as shown in the pics. The manuals will be included but they are in rough shape from apparent exposure to water but a lot of good information is still there to see. Nice compact unit that blows strong and sprays well.
