Description: A fine Georgian serpentine mahogany sideboard with conforming top surmounting a case with a center frieze drawer flanked by two bottle drawers with center oval paterae, accented with crossbanded veneer borders and cockbeading, beautifully detailed pinwheel and quarter fan inlay, all supported by six tapered square legs with bellflower inlay, terminating with spade feet. The piece appears to have retained most of its original hardware, but the locks have been removed from the bottle drawers. The piece dates to circa 1790, in very good overall condition, with some top surface scratches, minor veneer losses, other imperfections and expected wear commensurate with age and use.
