Description: "In this book 20 seasoned pilots tell what it was really like to fly some of the classic military planes - like the Marauder, the Mitchell, the Superfortress, the Gooney Bird and many more. Included are some airplanes whose reputation grows with each retelling of their story. The great planes of three military conflicts - WWII, Korea and Vietnam - are remembered in words and pictures. One hundred eight handsome illustrations display the planes in the air, on the ground and from the cockpit. The accounts are colorful, laced with flight jargon, but always tempered with respect for the gallant aircraft of the USAAF-USAF." There is a mylar cover over the dustjacket. While there are a few imperfections on the mylar, it did a great job of protecting the dust jacket and the book itself. There is a date, 2-18-77 written lightly in pencil in the upper right corner of the free end sheet, but otherwise I see no markings, nor underlining nor notes nor highlighting nor other flaws in this book.
