Description: Introducing Elesh Norn, Breaker of Imperfection. This took months to finish - the R&D went crazy. I wanted to make a playmat that was reminiscent of the Oil Slick Phyrexian lands and card arts, so I knew (after studying all of the different art pieces) I'd have to design a piece that was purely black and white - no colors and no gray. This took some serious designing and redesigning and I had to start from scratch more than once, but (after taking inspiration from Ryan Pancoast's Elesh Norn art) I finally came up with a piece that told the story I wanted it to tell while still being both legible and foil-able. It was not an easy balance to strike. The next challenge was equally difficult. I wanted to do something I had never done before - I wanted to do away with multiple foil layers/presses for this piece. In the spirit of Compleation and Phyrexian perfection, I sourced a new wide-format black holographic material that could stand up to my design and, using a brand new wide-format cutter (also not a cheap investment), for the first time ever, I was able to cut the entirety of the foil map from a single sheet of black foil and apply it in a perfect single layer press. All will be øne. Only 36 mats in existence - each one individually numbered. They ship with a lifetime warranty for repairs and replacements. Thanks for looking!
