Description: This is beautiful watercolor by Carmel Art Association artist Edward Norton Ward (1928-2022). He was born in Los Angeles and attended UCLA, obtaining a degree in Mathematics. After serving in the Korean War, Ward moved to Monterey because of his love of painting. He became an artist member of the Carmel Art Association in 1963 and served three terms as President. Ward was also a member of the California Art Club and a Charter Member of the Society of American Impressionists. He was an outstanding American Impressionist who excelled in oil, acrylics and watercolors. This painting features vivid colors of an active street market.
