Description: This is part of my personal collection. A large and heavy green knucklebone Chinese turquoise meets Navajo squash blossom necklace. I think these are old Chinese pump drilled nugget pieces of export turquoise . The holes look very large, off-center and a little chewed up at the hole. This is the sign of a drilling process before the Native Americans had electricity in their homes. They often made necklaces from things they found. Wonderful authentic Naja which has a blue stone in the center. This is an old piece etched with initials DN. Sandcast I believe with wonderful patina. The Sterling Beads look like Chinese. They are nicely etched and large. The sterling spacers look Navajo the old style with the vertical seam instead of the horizontal one. Old-sinew was used to string this piece it is still intact. I don’t know what’s up with the large smooth silver beads. They are all in nice condition with not much patina. A very nice and unique necklace, may be a ceremonial piece. Total weight is 241.5 g wearable length is a long 36 inches. I tend to like the different pieces rather than the traditional squash blossom necklace is but I’m not an expert and don’t know everything. Returns cheerfully excepted. Please message me with any questions or concerns and thanks for viewing, Sherry.
