Description: DIANA ROSS: The Greatest (EXTREMELY RARE NEW 1998 JAPANESE Limited Edition CD TOCP-51078) LONG OUT OF PRINT COLLECTORS HOLY GRAIL EXTREMELY RARE IN BRAND NEW CONDITION. EXTREMELY RARE 1998 JAPAN ONLY BEST OF DIANA ROSS. 1997-1998 was the Centenary Year for EMI RECORDS. They celebrated their 100th birthday with some amazing special releases around the world. In Japan, Toshiba-EMI went all out, with one of the highlights of their offering was a whole series of JAPAN ONLY BEST OF ALBUMS entitled “The Greatest” series. This CD was one of them. They all featured gold embossed printing on the front of the actual jewel case. “The Greatest” at the top, and “Limited Edition” along the bottom. The actual CD is gold and matches the embossing on the front cover. The back of the obi strip features an ”EMI 100” logo to signify it’s part in the historic series. At the time their was no complete Diana best of. It features a 30 page booklet with English and Japanese lyrics and of course an obi strip. These releases were strictly Limited Edition and pressed from only one glass master made in Japan. The sound quality is supreme like most Japanese releases.
