Description: A scarce December 7, 1849 Signed document for teacher Mr. Henry C. Albon is approved to teach in the East Windsor, Seventh School District. This document is probably from the East Windsor School District, New Jersey. The document is approved and signed by the four members of the Examining Committee. This very early school related document states in part “THIS MAY CERTIFY THAT WE HAVE EXAMINED AND APPROVED OF MR. HENRY C. ALBON AS A TEACHER IN THE SEVENTH SCHOOL DISTRICT OF EAST ENNDSOR,EXAMINER COMMITTEE, EAST WINDSOR DEC. 7TH 1849” The document is 8 x 4 inches in size. The document has two folds, one going each direction. The document has some light edge creases and a couple tiny age spots and overall is in nice condition especially for the age with no tears.
