DAS Heartland 2 Marble Collector Series: Radioactive Chunky Gold Lutz

Description: DAS Heartland 2 MarbleCollector SeriesRadioactive Chunky Gold Lutz MINTRun Date: May 2014 This DAS Heartland 2 marble run had most of the marbles with a clear base glass. These transparent type marbles have some amazing internal swirls and a tremendous amount of large external chunky gold lutz. Some lutz marble have a fine evenly spread mist of gold dust and others have huge rocks of gold lutz...this marble is the huge rocks and you can tell. This does give the marble some uneven surfaces, but it is completely normal for this type of chunky lutz marble. The cool thing about this particular marble is the combination of red and yellow glass. These two colors are universal complements...just look at all the McDonald's logo... :-) Oh yeah, don't forget this marble is UV reactive when exposed to a black light. This type of glass is called Fluorescent. FYI...Fluorescence is the emission of light by a substance that has absorbed light or other electromagnetic radiation. It is a form of luminescence. In most cases, the emitted light has a longer wavelength, and therefore a lower photon energy, than the absorbed radiation...in case you are curious... :-) I try my best to take high resolution pictures with flash to show exactly what you are getting. I try to rotate the marble to give multiple views. I use a Canon Rebel DSLR camera with flash to show all the details of the marble that might not be visible in lower lighting conditions. This marble was manufactured using the 3/4" machine and the size of this particular marble is 0.685" as measured with electronic calipers. Note 1: please keep in mind that these chunky gold lutz marbles do not have a smooth surface. Note 2: this marble is slightly smaller than the average marble rolling off the 3/4" machines.
