DAS Gusto Marble Collector Series: Pastel Rainbow Sparkler

Gusto is one of the latest runs hot off the machines at Dave's Appalachian Swirls marble factory. This run had some minor quality issues IMHO with multiple hit marks on a very large percentage of the marbles. I found it very hard to find perfectly mint condition marbles from this run. Well, so I found out that if you sort through enough of them, some really nice marbles can be found from this run (only 10-15% were mint according to the sample of 200 pieces that I received). This particular marble is from my keeper vault and I consider this little gem to be a highly collectable example. This particular marble has a nice wispy cloud-like ivory white base glass with some very interesting features. It really looks like you are peering through a cloud. Then we have a spectacular Periwinkle Bluish Lavender colored glass swirl that is simply amazing. The bright sunflower yellow colors complement the Periwinkle nicely. Then, to top it off, we have just about every color in the rainbow...so artistic and yet random from a marble machine. One very unique aspect of this marble is the amount of sparkle from the red glass. Normally, most oxblood red glass is solid. This particular marble run sourced some amazing red glass that must have had some type of goldstone mixed with it. I am always blown away by this fact that some of these DAS marbles are not made expertly by hand. Amazing! I try my best to take high resolution pictures with flash to show exactly what you are getting. I use a Canon Rebel DSLR camera with built-in flash to show all the fine details of the marble. I try to rotate the marble to give multiple views. This marble was manufactured using the 3/4" machine and the size of this particular marble is a healthy 0.738" in diameter measured with electronic calipers.
