By using TWO PROBES that are placed near the driveway, the sensors can determine the direction or travel. When used with the DCR-4000 or the RE-4k Plus, different sounds or outputs can be selected for vehicles that are coming or going. The DAPT-4000 can detect a car passing by up to about 10' from the probe. It can send a signal back to the receiver up to 1 mile away*. Expand your Dakota Alert 4000 series driveway alarm or alert system by adding the DAPT-4000 Magnetic DUAL PROBE VEHICLE SENSORS with wireless transmitter. The vehicle probes are buried along side or under the driveway and the included 50 foot cable connects to the wireless transmitter which can be mounted on a wall, pole or tree. This extra DUAL PROBE Sensors kit with transmitter can be used to cover an extra driveway, an extra wide driveway for better coverage, to monitor farm equipment or even large metal garbage bins. This is an expansion sensor/transmitter for the Dakota Alert DCMA-4000, DCPA-4000, DCRH-4000 ,DCR-4000, or the DCPA-4000 PLUS / DCPA-4K PLUS systems / receivers. The Dakota Alert DCR-4000 Receiver (sold separately) or the RE-4k Plus Receiver (sold separately) from these systems will flash an LED indicator and play your choice of notification tunes/tones when triggered. Up to 16 different sensors (transmitters) can be paired with the Dakota 4000 series receivers. Operating Range: -30°F to 120°F *Actual range will vary depending on the environment.
