Please excuse any glare in the photos. This hardback book has a dark blue cover. The book measures approximately 10 11/16 inches by 7 3/8 inches by 15/16 inches and it has 139 numbered pages. The book has several photos and a foldout map. The book weighs 1 pound 8.0 ounces, unpacked. This would be a good addition to a collection of historical books. Identification This book is titled, Census of the City and County of Los Angeles for the Year 1850. It was edited by Maurice H. Newmark and Marco R. Newmark, and the forward was written by James A. B. Scherer. The book was published by The Times-Mirror Press in Los Angeles, with a copyright date of 1929. Condition The cover of the book has many small lighter spots of an unknown nature, as is visible in Photos 1 and 2. The cover also has minor soiling/staining and edge wear. The pages have some yellowing and minor soiling. I did not examine each and every page, but I found no writing when I flipped through the pages. There are no cigarette odors; only faint mustiness can be detected when the book is held directly to the nose.
