Description: CARTER DICKSONA GRAVEYARD TO LETDELL BOOK #543 (1951) CONDITION: Acceptable - - cover and first few pages are still connected but may not stay that way for long. All other pages are well bound. Couple of red marks top and bottom of book. More of a collectors' item than for reading. {I have listed 1951 for publication date, but some people give 1949 which is the copyright date listed. 1951 is also the date listed on Goodreads.} From Wikipedia: In the early 1950s, as series numbering reached the 400s, Dell began updating the appearance of its books. In 1951, the back cover maps began to be gradually replaced with conventional text and "blurb" covers. A man jumps into a swimming pool and disappears, thus commencing an investigation that is simultaneously amusing and frustrating. Merrivale is a wonderful character, with a delightfully mischievous bent. As for the mystery, Dickson parades lots of clues before your eyes, but leaves you scratching your head until the final reveal. Dickson is a master of criminal impossibility, and even if this isn't his strongest work, it still shows why his reputation is justly deserved. ______________________(I'll always combine shipping costs and refund any excess shipping charges for multiple-copy book orders.)For all "buy it now" items, please use ADD TO CART if you plan to order more than one item at the same time.______________ WOW!
