Description: Card of 25 antique clothing buttons -- ASSORTED VINTAGE PLASTIC -- were produced in various shapes and sizes. Most of the buttons were probably produced in the early to mid 1900s, with a few possibly being more modern. The buttons are made of various types of plastic, including: celluloid, imitation tortoise shell, acetate, Lucite, Polyester, casein, and more. The styles featured are: realistics, double-cut, bubble-tops, laminated, painted, layered, OME, and others. There are some great buttons on this card. Please refer to the ruler pictured in the image for the exact sizes of the buttons. Overall condition: Solid VG+/Excellent..... The buttons may have light surface wear or soiling -- but I don't see any breaks, chips, or other more serious flaws. The group is overall in very nice shape and they will display beautifully. My mom -- Nancy Moran -- was a longtime member of the National Button Society, plus was active in several local button clubs in New York. She is downsizing, so I am helping her sell some of her collection. But I am not familiar with all the terminology and intricacies of button collecting. I try to use various notes she left with the buttons to describe them to the best of my ability, but understand that any terms I use in describing these items, are not terms I am familiar or experienced with.
