Description: California Pottery Vase Vintage Eight-Sided Octagonal Mottled Satin Blue Glaze Description and Item Information Up for sale is this vintage pottery vase. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This eight-sided piece has a finely mottled, satin blue glaze. It stands approximately 5 inches tall, and it is about 6 1/4 inches long and 6 1/4 inches wide. Unpacked, it weighs 1 pound 14.5 ounces. This would be a nice addition to a collection of vintage pottery. Identification This vintage pottery vase is unmarked. At one time, I knew who made it, but I can no longer recall. I think it is by a California maker such as Haldeman, Padre, or Tudor, but the exact maker is not known. Condition The vase looks great overall, with no chips or cracks. It has light wear, with a few fine scratches and minor scuff marks. It has tripod stilt marks beneath, as made. Also as made, there are three smooth, raised bumps to the interior bottom, and there are some tiny, scattered glaze dimples.
