Description: 1947 OR 1948 PRESS WIRE PHOTO OF BROOKLYN DODGERS MANAGER LEO DUROCHER AND NEW YORK YANKEES COACH RED CORRIDEN. RED WAS COACH FOR THE YANKEES THOSE TWO YEARS ONLY. THE TWO MEN HAD WORKED TOGETHER IN BROOKLYN FROM 1941 THROUGH 1946. MY GUESS WOULD BE THIS PICTURE WAS TAKEN IN SPRING TRAINING OF 1947 AS THE TWO ARE NOW ON DIFFERENT TEAMS AND LEO WAS NOT YET SUSPENDED FOR THE 1947 SEASON. RED CORRIDEN WAS A MAJOR LEAGUER FROM 1910 TO 1915. THEN WENT IN TO COACHING AND ALSO MANAGED THE 1950 WHITE SOX. Measures 8.25 by 8.25 inches. Please see scan for condition. Not a mint photo. Has a several wrinkles as seen in scan and is angle cut as seen in scan. Also crop marks. I take my feedback seriously. So please ask any questions you may have and I will be glad to answer them.
