SHIPPING POLICY: All packages shipped with plastic and cardboard protection. Note that we do not offer returns on pulps as a policy due to potential buyer damage / mishandling. However; if item(s) arrive with grade-relevant differences compared to advertised condition, we will make it a point to accept returns from unsatisfied customers. As long as you didn’t damage the item, we will take it back. Note that this policy does NOT apply to pulps described as FAIR or LOW GRADE, which we sell at deeply discounted prices (relative to market value of GOOD comparable (1.5 or above). Standard shipping across products is $5.99 for 1 item plus $2 for each incremental purchase. Please call out multiple purchases so we don’t miss them. If shipping does not calculate automatically, once paid, we will refund $3.99 for each incremental purchase. GRADING STANDARDS: We generally strive to notch our grading downward to ensure that at a minimum, grades we assign meet or exceed intrinsic grading that third parties might apply. + or - refers to upward or downward grade notch that does not rise to the level or grade change. In other words, GOOD+ / GD+ is almost VERY GOOD / VG, but not close enough to mark grade upward. HIGH GRADE refers to FINE/FINE- or above. Note that we aim to avoid describing pulps as HIGH GRADE or as VERY FINE base on the degree of subjectivity skews grades at this level. Thus, the higher the grade, the more scrutinous we aim to be. As with all of our inventory, if you have any questions, we encourage you to reach out if you have any doubts on the grading we assign. VERY FINE (VF): Appears almost like new with high color gloss. It is a flat, tight book with no or almost imperceptible cover creases. The overhang may bend and have a few very small creases or tears but none large enough to affect visual appearance. FINE (FN): A sharp copy with minor defects. Very minor tears, a minor 1/8 inch chip out of the overhang. A flat tight book that may be similar to a VF but doesn't have that freshness or gloss. VERY GOOD (VG): A copy with a number of milder defects. Mild creases with very small chips from the edges. At this grade the edges are starting to have numerous small tears and creases. Minor wrinkling and small pieces of the spine may be missing. Mild fading and could have some tape on the spine. GOOD (GD) : A worn copy, typical of an older magazine. Numerous defects including more severe creasing, fading, wrinkling, and/or larger chips from the cover and the spine may be taped. FAIR (FR): A very worn copy, our lowest grade. This grade may have defects that include large pieces out of the front cover, a missing spine, and significant soiling but still readable. “LOW GRADE” is used to describe pulps that are FAIR or below. Based on how we define FAIR, please do not expect a product that is good in any sense. That said, we endeavor to avoid selling anything in this condition and when we do, it is usually because of the rare nature of the issue. astounding #astoundingSF #astoundingsciencefiction #sciencefiction #astoundingstories #asimov #heinlein #hubbard #pulpfiction #pulp #pulps #sciencefiction #scifi #sci-fi #vintagepulp #vintagepulps #amazingstories #weirdtales #dimenovels #detective #thrillingdetective #street&smith #vintagemagazines #collectiblemagazines #Wasso #Freas
