They are GREAT rods! However due to not wanting to manufacture in China any longer as well as the recent events shaping our world, we are closing our doors. The first thing you will notice is the light weight of the rods, they are highly sensitive to feel the action below the surface, and they are very durable with a less than 1% breakage rate, and that includes mishandling statistics. They are a fantastic value, we've been told by our customers that they stack up most favorably with rods such as St. Croix and others that cost nearly twice as much. We built them with continued high quality and value in mind. Should we find an American manufacturer we may decide to startup again the future. These rods will be the foundation of anything that would follow - but for now, we are offering them at closeout. **SHIPPING OPTION - PLEASE READ** I have been having about a 30% breakage rate upon delivery. This is a major problem to deal with. USPS has offered a Special Handling Fragile rate which increases the cost by $11. If you want less hassle should it arrive broken, select the $26 option. If you select the standard flat rate, which I put insurance on, and it arrives broken, you will either have to deny the shipment so it returns to me, or take it to your local Post Office to prove that it was delivered to you broken. Once I am reimbursed by USPS, then I will ship you a replacement rod. It's a bit of a hassle and I have had this denied many times by USPS for reasons I cannot understand. I want to be honest about the reality of what I've experienced so you can make the choice for shipping you are comfortable with. We are (were) a Minnesota family company.
