Description: You are looking at a wonderful three handled Art Nouveau JBD(Julius Dressler)Jardinere marked with the famous tower insignia that he was famous for. This is part of the Austria Jugensteil end of the century motif and Art Nouveau period(1890-1914).The jardinere(planter) is delightfully designed with the Art nouveau flair--but done in a bisquit white and the heavy gilding of the period...the piece is in great shape but with two concerns: the gilding has some losses as the age reflects and there is a minor chip on an edge as shown in a photo attached...but all that being said--it truly is a wonderful period piece and looks far better and impressive in person than it does in my photos.Should you have any questions about the piece feel free to contact me as I am not teaching this semester and am home most of the time...Thanks once again...
