Description: Superb antique handmade Belgian Brussels applique net lace wedding veil or stole in a white color... Remarkably well preserved, this stunningly beautiful panel drapes flowingly and is displayed with an antique wax tiara for inspiration... It features an ornate floral motif along Point D'esprit net ground, showcasing large floral sprays along each end with vines, greenery, & cartouches filled with the tiniest clusters of buttonhole stitching throughout. It is finished off with a meandering scalloped edge all around. Generously proportioned, this rectangular panel measures ~24 inches wide, ~100 inches long, and finished all around. Appears hardly used. In overall very good-excellent condition considering age with occasional scraggly threads, very mild fraying along an occasional unfinished tape edge, and a few very small patches of unraveled stitches between the tape and netting which can be reattached.
