Description: Very nice antique magic lantern with the interesting combination glass slide or film strip projection. There is an interesting removable piece in the glass slide part, I showed it in the last 2 pictures. No idea what it was for perhaps to frame an image in round when projecting. It will need some detailing and oil on the crank that actually advances the strip but is a shutter too. Once again this is out of my league and have no idea how it worked. The best I can do is add several photos to give you an idea. Only defect I noticed is the glass oil lamp globe is cracked pretty much 3/4 of the way down. Seems stable but better than no globe, maybe a replacement can be found. This appears to have a very deep green finish, there is some very light superficial rust to the finish. Measures 10-3/4" to top of tin chimney - wood base measures 7" X 4"
