Antique VICTORIAN Gold Blue White Enamel CELTIC LOVE KNOT Floral Pendant LOCKET

Description: A pretty antique Victorian solid 9k gold blue and white enamel floral engraved Celtic love knot locket pendant, dating to circa 1880. This beautiful little Victorian locket has a lot going on on, the front is decorated with a fabulous blue and white enamel Celtic love knot design surrounded by intricately carved scrolling leaves, the reverse with carved flowers and further scrolling leaves surrounding an empty shield shape cartouche, the locket opens to reveal two glazed compartments for a memento or photograph, the locket dangles from a gold bail-lovely! The locket is unmarked and tests for 9k gold. The locket measures about 25mm x 15mm including the bail and is about 6mm deep. The locket weighs approximately 4.0 grams. The locket is in general good condition with losses to the enamel. Both original oval glass inserts are present, however one of the thin metal rings which holds one piece of glass in place is missing. The locket opens and closes well. Please check all the pictures.
