ANTIQUE - 1909 - EDWARDIAN SETH THOMAS - "SOLAR" MODELBRONZE FINISH - METAL CASE 8 DAY - TIME & STRIKE - PENDULUM MANTEL DESK CLOCK This auction is for a rare and hard to find Seth Thomas "SOLAR" model bronze finished metal case clock - It is approx. 10.5" high x 9.25" wide (at the base) x 6" deep - It has an 8.5" diameter silvered dial with applied raised bronze Arabic numbers & minute dots - It has fancy ornate brass hands - It has a hinged convex glass door - The case is fitted with an 8 day, key wind, time and strike, pendulum movement made by The Seth Thomas Clock Company - It strikes the hour on a coil gong and half hour on a cup bell The movement is marked: "MADE IN U.S. AMERICA" WITH THE SETH THOMAS LOGO"It comes with its original pendulum bob and a key for winding - The movement has been professionally cleaned, serviced and it is in excellent running condition and strikes correctly - However, since it is an antique, it is being sold with no warranty or guarantee of accuracy - It is in excellent overall condition with no dents and a nice rich patina to both the case and the dial - The hour hand is a little loose - It appears that the cloth fabric inside the back door has been replaced Displays beautifullyPlease examine pictures closely for condition details - Selling "as is" - NO RETURNS!!
