Description: Antique RS Reinhold Schlegelmilch Tillowitz Chocolate Set, RS Prussia. Manufactured by the legendary porcelain factory of RS Prussia Tillowitz this set features a bough of roses set against an ivory white background and trimmed in an exquisitely delicate gold pattern of what appear to be bubbles of chocolate foam. This pattern is evident on the cup rims as well on the 4 saucers and pot. The shape of the handles would suggest an Art Deco influence. All are marked on the base with the RSGERMANY HALLMARK save one cup which is marked Rosenthal Selb Bavaria Donatello which indicates a pre 1933 production date. ( see photo # 7) This lone cup is an identical match for the pattern exhibited on the other 3 with an almost indiscernible cup and handle shape. (see photo # 5) This 9 piece Antique Chocolate Set includes: 1 chocolate pot 1 lid 4 Demitasse Cups & 4 saucers The pot measures 8.25 inches to the spout. The set is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or discoloration and with the delicate gold trim and pattern intact on all pieces.
