Description: Featured in this auction is a beautiful, antique cabinet bowl made by Rookwood Pottery. This piece is in excellent, near-mint condition with no chips, no cracks, no crazing, and no repairs. This piece is 3" tall, 4" wide at the shoulder, and 2-3/4" wide at the mouth. The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 1089E and the production year XVI (1916). Stilt marks are visible on the base. This miniature cabinet piece features a series of petals or lotus leaves encircling the body. This gorgeous glaze is a rich, matte yellow ochre color that has a few small glaze pinholes all over as well as evidence of hand-turning inside the bowl. The piece shows very minimal wear but is presumed to have been gently used. Check out all 8 photos!
