Description: This is a rare antique Porcelain Lithophane. These were made in the 19th c. and you light the back with a candle or lighting and the highly detailed image is illuminated. These can be set in frames and lamps/lighting.The scene depicted on the lithophane is printed on the bottom edge and this is numbered on the backImage & Title: "View from West Point" which depicts the landscape of the title.Imprinted catalog Number on back: "1885" Measures : 3-1/4" long by 2-1/4" tall (about 1/8" thick)I have 8 of these and I am auctioning/selling each one separately. They all came from the same estate, acquired back at the same time.
